Def Jam Vendetta
The unlikely combination of Def Jam recording artists and underground wrestling is the subject of this Electronic Arts release, which features the 3D likenesses of such musicians as Ludacris, Redman, DMX, Scarface, Ghostface Killa, Method Man, and more as playable characters. Developed by AKI Corporation, whose previous experience in the genre includes titles WWF No Mercy and WCW/NWO Revenge, Def Jam Vendetta offers an estimated 1,500 animations for each of the 45 included characters. A total of ten different venues are available, and one of the featured modes offers a storyline complete with soap opera-style drama to go along with the suplexes and body slams. Up to four players can compete in Single, Tag-Team, Handicap, or Battle Royale matches.
WWF No Mercy
WWF No Mercy allows players to compete for seven different WWF titles, with each belt getting its own unique story. Stories can be replayed, allowing players to defend their title in a storyline. Upon successful completion of a story mode, players will unlock the title they were competing for in the Exhibition mode, where titles can be won and defended as the players see fit. A maximum of four players can compete in a range of modes, including caged and ladder contests and pay-per-view events. The player can also create an own event and compete for WWF titles unlocked in Championship mode. Certain matches are held outside the ring, in four different backstage locations.
WWF WrestleMania 2000
Get all of the body slams and flying elbows you can handle with WWF WRESTLEMANIA 2000. Wrestle with or against 15 of the brightest stars in the WWF: Steve Austin, The Rock, Ken Shamrock, Val Venis, Jeff Jarrett, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, The Big show, Triple-H, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Kane, Big Boss Man, Road Dogg, Mankind, and Vince McMahon. After choosing your favorite wrestler, take on any challenger in a Single Match, or find a partner for a Tag Team bout. And for some of the toughest competition, you can try to win the WWF championship in the Career mode. If you have friends that are wrestling fanatics, link up and challenge them to a match. Try to become a crowd favorite and challenge the WWF superstars in WWF WRESTLEMANIA 2000.
