VGDB's editorial judgements aren't for sale. We don't run sponsored coverage dressed up as editorial. We don't accept payment for favourable placement on /games/reviews or featured items. And we don't let anyone — developers, publishers, PRs, or readers — talk us into changing a review score.

The site currently doesn't make money. No ads, no affiliate links, no Patreon, no paid tier. If that ever changes, we'll say so here and in the changelog before we flip the switch.

Review keys and free copies

If we're ever granted a key to review a game, we'll do so with honesty and integrity. No favourable score because we were pressured, and no favourable score because we received the game free.

Getting It Wrong

Corrections

When we get something wrong — a release date, a credit, a spec, a review factual error — we'll fix it, and we'll say we fixed it.

The Party

Community contributions

Reviews, lists, and articles are community-driven. We moderate for conduct and factual accuracy, not for opinion. A negative review written in good faith stays up.
