Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Gust. Atelier Rorona is the eleventh installment in the Atelier series, and it is the first title in the series to be developed for PlayStation 3, and it is also the first to utilize 3D models as opposed to the 2D sprites in earlier titles. Atelier Rorona's storyline is presented as a series of twelve tasks. Each of these tasks amounts to three months of the game's storyline and requires the player to complete it by the end of the period. The game has four main modes of gameplay: a field map, a battle screen, an alchemy system, and a visual novel system.
Before you press start
The cast grows up from game to game, so start with Rorona and go on to Totori, Meruru and Lulua. The DX versions are the easiest to find and play on modern hardware.
More than the main path
Rorona must save a failing workshop, Totori sets out to find her mother, and Meruru has a small kingdom to grow. Each game runs against a calendar, and the cast ages between them. Atelier Lulua picks the thread back up with Rorona's daughter.

Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Gust. It takes the series alchemy driven gameplay and expands it towards encouraging exploration and discovery. Atelier Totori is the twelfth installment in the Atelier series, and it continues the series' emphasis on item synthesis. The game is the second in the Arland series and a direct sequel to Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, taking place five years after the end of Atelier Rorona. It is followed by Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland.
