Zhulu Chess is a strategic board game inspired by Go. You'll play as two protagonists during China's Northern and Southern Dynasties period, fighting for their respective kingdoms.
The core gameplay is a perfect information strategy board game where you'll freely choose your forces, solve puzzles, and defeat opponents. The game features a prediction system similar to "Into the Breach", and you can challenge yourself with higher difficulties for a true feast of strategic thinking.
Players will start with an initial commander and army, gather resources through battles, build a powerful force, and face the final Boss.
Once a battle begins, there are no random elements.
In each battle, you'll select 10 pieces to deploy against your opponent. Infantry, cavalry, archers... each piece type possesses unique characteristics.
The board will show the consequences of your next move, so there's no need for excessive thinking.
Zhulu Chess incorporates mechanics from the traditional Chinese board game - Go. The game introduces the concept of "Qi" from Go instead of a health system.
Qi = Piece's Defense - Incoming Attack Power
You can relieve the crisis of your pieces through offensive actions.
The game features a prediction system similar to "Into the Breach", revealing enemy actions for the next turn.
True difficulty isn't just about increasing numbers.
In Challenge Mode, you can no longer predict enemy intentions.
Now, think and decide like a master player facing AI.
Except at the very beginning, you can undo moves at any time and restart the match. Therefore, don't be afraid to try anything.
You will play as generals from both the North and South, struggling through the inevitable course of history, and ultimately, you must determine a victor.
