Description
WITCHKEEPING ACADEMY
Re: Urgent and temporary appointment
The Librarian, Madame Vesper, could not be found at her post last month. You are appointed in her place until further notice. The Library reopens tonight.
Your duties:
To get the books and wands off the floor and back on their shelves. The books have no volume numbers. The order of each series is a puzzle you will have to solve.
To read the letters the owl brings and see to the witches' requests.
To leave letters from humans unanswered. The Academy does not correspond with humans.
Not to attempt any of this by magic. (It has been tried. It does not work.)
The cat has been fed. Should it claim otherwise, do not believe it.
Witchkeeping is a cozy narrative organizing game about a witch who has to tidy up a library. It takes place at night, in the old candlelit hall of a witches' academy.
There is a lot to tidy up. You fly to the high shelves on your broom. The books come in series of 5 or 7. You can shelve a series on any shelf it fits, but to get the order right you have to solve the puzzle on the spines.
Then the mail starts. Not everyone who writes is a witch. The cook at the inn has something living in her hearth, and it has started stirring the soup. A retired notary's armchair moves by itself every evening at seven. Some of the letters are still addressed to the old librarian. Nobody knows where she went.
A great candlelit library hall at night
Book series you put in order by solving the puzzle on their spines
Numbered wand boxes
First-person broom flight
Letters delivered by owl, which you open by hand
A stamp album, a sticker journal and a lending ledger
The demo is a small part of the game. After release we plan to keep adding new items, new series and special events.
