About This Game
Walk-Off 199X is a baseball roguelike deckbuilder where every game starts in the bottom of the 9th. I wanted a baseball game that let me play the strategic part of baseball, without too much simulation or any reflex tests. I couldn’t find one, so I made it. I threw in retro VHS aesthetics, deckbuilding, player management, wheel spinning, and turn based, low octane card playing action. It's the world's first on-deck builder!

Play Match Cards, built with public domain art more than a century old, to alter the course of each match. Make your players take big swings, call their shot, choke up, bunt, charge the mound, and more!

You are either in your Office or At The Bottom Of The 9th.
During your Office time, you manage your players and your deck. You feed them, have pep talks with them, buy card packs, hire staff, smoke cigarettes, buy memorabilia from the history of the game to power your team up, and more. When you’re satisfied, you choose a pitcher to face, and proceed to…
The Bottom Of The 9th. You start down a lot of runs, and this is your last opportunity to score and walk it off. You decide who to send up to bat, and then you can play cards to change what happens. You watch every single pitch, whether your player whiffs on it or sends it into the stands. Once you make 3 outs, it’s game over.
Get 7 walk offs, and you win the World Series.
