Description
You walk into a costume archive the size of a building. Every shelf is full, every rail is hung in colour order, and for one moment it is perfect. Then the wisp tears through and three thousand garments land in a heap on the floor.
The Walk-In is about putting them back. All of them.
Lay a crumpled shirt on the table and press the creases out stroke by stroke. Watch the cloth go flat under the plate. Nothing counts until it is pressed.
Flick each side over in the right order. A tee folds in thirds, jeans fold at the knee, socks tuck into a pair. Every kind of garment has its own plan and you learn them with your hands.
Colour is a home here, not a bonus. Blue tees go on the blue shelf, socks go in the drawer, and the coats hang on the rail in the order painted along the bar. Point at a shelf and the game shows you green or red before you commit. When a shelf is complete, it lights up. When the building is complete, you are done (Colorblind options available too!)
Coins turn up in pockets and points come from finishing sets. Spend them on a wider iron plate, a bigger armful, longer reach, a sense for which pockets are worth turning out, and a knack for where the thing in your hands should go. The ritual never gets skipped, it just gets quicker, and the rising number is your own throughput.
When the last garment is filed, the whole run plays backwards. Every parcel flies to its shelf in a wave, from the one spot in the room where you can see all of it.
Invite a friend through Steam and work the same wardrobe from two ends. The shelves, the tree and the ending are shared. The armful is yours.
