Educational/Functional Game Genre
Initially, functional games focused mainly on military training and promotional activities. However, it has been discovered that functional games can also achieve quick and easy effects in education and therapy. Functional games are designed to offer both fun and learning effects to users based on games. These games are sometimes referred to as edutainment (Education + Entertainment) or edu-games (Education + Game).
Gelten has combined such functional games with VR, which allows for indirect experience of reality, to create VR safety education content for children.
