Sell what you bring home, craft supplies, improve your gear, and develop your hunter’s skills through use.

A successful hunt takes more than good aim. Read tracks and signs, watch the wind, and move carefully through cover to close the distance. Wildlife reacts to your presence, and wolves can turn a quiet outing into a fight for survival.

Stay fed, manage your stamina, and decide how much you can carry before setting off for home. Gather wild food, set baited traps, cook at camp, and smoke meat to preserve your harvest. Changing weather and the passage from day to night shape each trip into the field.

Back in town, trade with local merchants, fulfil hunting contracts, and prepare for your next expedition. Follow an authored quest line as you learn the valley and take on its tougher challenges.

• Hunt with a bow: Follow trails, approach from downwind, use natural cover, and aim for weak points.

• Make your harvest count: Balance carrying capacity against the value of your haul, and preserve meat before it spoils.

• Build your fieldcraft: Craft useful equipment and improve seven skills by putting them into practice.

• Prepare for changing conditions: Adapt to rain, darkness, hunger, and dangerous wildlife. Carry a torch or send a flare into the sky.

• Play alone or together: Share the valley with up to three friends through drop-in Steam or LAN co-op, with push-to-talk voice chat.

• Explore a distinctive world: A colourful toon landscape, shifting skies, and reactive forest ambience bring the valley to life.
