Description
Tiny RTS is a real-time strategy game in crisp pixel art. Gather resources, grow your village into a castle town, advance through three ages and send your army against friends, strangers or computer opponents.
Humans build a bit of everything. When they reach the Town Age they pick one of four cultures: Egyptian, Greek, Japanese or Norse. Each culture has three mythic creatures and a hero of its own: the Pharaoh, the Strategos, the Shogun or the Jarl.
Orcs send goblins that take up only half a housing slot, plunder resources from their kills and fly into a bloodlust. Their War Chief rises through five levels, and three hero classes fight for them in the pit.
Elves grow their food and their walls, move through their forests and call magic down from their spell towers.
Dwarves keep their beer level up in the tavern (a full one makes everyone tougher and faster), turn stone and gold into mana and forge runes for their warriors in the Lava Forge. One of them wears the crown. Bastions guard their walls, gyrocopters scout from the sky and steamships carry their army across the water.
Starfall, moonlight and grasping roots from the elven Moonspire, the War Chief's battle cry, the Jarl's thunder, the dwarven king's rune shield: every people fights with heroes and abilities of its own. Give your hero relics and it grows stronger with every one.
Neutral camps are scattered across the map. Bandits, giant spiders, gnolls and wisps wait at the edges, werewolves, harpies, gargoyles and skeletons further in, and dragons, hydras, stone golems and liches at the heart of the map. Clear them for gold, mana and relics (50 of them) and equip your hero. Relics wear out in battle, so choose your fights.
Chop wood, quarry stone, farm, fish, hunt, mine gold and draw mana from crystals. Trade at the market, research more than 200 technologies and advance from the Village Age through the Town Age to the Castle Age.
Swords beat bows, bows beat spears, spears stop riders. Protect your town with palisades, stone walls, gates and towers, then break the enemy's with rams, catapults, ballistae and cannons. Hills give your archers and towers extra reach.
Nine map types: Lakeland, Deep Forest, Steppe, Highlands, Gold Rush, River, Coast, Inland Sea and Islands, in four sizes up to Gigantic. Fishing boats feed your people, transports carry your army across the water and warships rule the sea.
New to the genre? The Moonfall is a prologue in nine short lessons: Aldric, the old castellan, shows you around the valley of Shardvale, from your first villager to your first siege. The in-game codex (F3) lists every unit, building and technology with its real numbers.
The map editor is the one the game's own lessons were built with.
Paint terrain, hills, forests and rivers, lay bridges and place units, buildings, monster camps and 40 kinds of scenery.
Triggers you click together, or Lua if you like writing code: objectives, timers, dialogs, waves of enemies, bridges that collapse.
Cutscenes on a timeline with camera rides, dialog and radio messages.
Your own units, heroes, abilities, technologies and relics, built on the game's own.
Your own on-screen panels: bars, buttons, timers and a scoreboard.
Campaigns: put your missions on a world map, and your heroes keep their levels and items from one mission to the next.
Custom maps work in every lobby except ranked, and the other players get them automatically. Maps with triggers or scripts run in singleplayer and in lobbies hosted by a player.

Lobbies for up to four players, on our servers or hosted on your own PC through Steam, with teams and computer opponents from Easy to Brutal, each with a personality of its own. They play fair: computer opponents only see what their units see.
Singleplayer in one click, and you can save and continue later.
Ranked 1v1 with a separate rating for each people, monthly seasons and a leaderboard.
Replays of your matches: jump to any moment, or take over and play on from there. Watch lobbies live, or your friends' matches with a short delay.
Profiles with more than 130 achievements and titles to earn, a friends list and Steam invites.
Optional trash talk: choose how much the computer opponents chat and taunt (Off, Light, Normal or Hard). A chat filter is on by default.
