Big birds. Bigger rivalries.
Strich Gauntlet is an arcade combat racer where your mount has feathers, your rivals have weapons, and the road rarely stays level. Ride an ostrich through sweeping turns, ramp launches and dangerous gaps. A clean racing line gets you ahead; a well-timed shield can keep you there.
Race the road. Fight for the lead.
Collect boosts, feathers, shields and attacks as you race. Cycle your held power-ups to prepare the right response, launch a javelin at a distant rival, or drop trouble for the pack behind you. Jump and glide across broken track, dodge obstacles, and use forks to find another way through the chaos.
Five official maps, with many more planned
- Mirage: desert canyons and long racing lines.
- The Summit: mountain climbs, winding roads and steep descents.
- Ice Mountain: snowy heights, exposed paths and demanding jumps.
- Caldera: volcanic terrain, broken basalt and packed obstacle runs.
- Oasis: an enormous island course with towering pillars, mountain roads and a central waterfall.
Choose the time of day and weather, from bright daylight to moonlit racing. Win offline races to unlock the next courses, or unlock maps with in-game credits. All five official courses are available in online multiplayer, with many more official maps planned.
Find your kind of race
Challenge AI rivals across four difficulty settings, chase a faster time in Time Trial, or settle things in a one-lap Sprint. Team Rush adds a separate team-based trap-and-race challenge. A guided tutorial teaches movement, combat, shielding and power-up swapping. Online lobbies support up to six players, with AI bots available to fill the field.
Four players. One screen. (Experimental)
Race together with 2-4 players in experimental offline split-screen. Choose Race or Sprint, set the course and difficulty, and add bots to fill empty places up to four racers. Each player chooses their own rider and ostrich. Play with controllers, or combine one keyboard-and-mouse player with controllers for the remaining players. Split-screen is still being refined during Early Access; bugs and performance issues may occur, especially with four players. Lower graphics settings or resolution may be needed.
Controller-ready racing
Race and navigate the menus with Xbox or PlayStation controllers, with matching button prompts, remappable controls and right-stick camera views. Keyboard and mouse controls are also supported. The Track Designer uses keyboard and mouse.
Climb the Championship
Take on a single-player Championship spanning five chapters and 30 events, from Mirage to Oasis. Win main events to unlock the next challenge as rivals grow tougher and changing times of day and weather test your racing. Tackle optional challenges, earn event medals, and return to unlocked events to improve your results.
Keep the highlights
Watch supported offline and online races again with cinematic replays, camera controls and dramatic combat moments. Save a replay and revisit the action after the finish. Online replays capture the race as seen by your client. Replays currently support the official loop courses; Team Rush and custom-track replays are not yet supported.
Build your own gauntlet
The built-in Track Designer lets you create, test and share your own tracks. Browse the Custom Maps selection to race on your creations or download maps shared by other players. Bring a custom track into an online lobby and race it with friends.
Make your mark
Earn credits and level-up drops, customize your rider and ostrich, and pursue 82 achievements spanning course victories, weapon knockouts, defense and career milestones. Optional credit packs can be purchased with real money in the in-game store.
