About This Game
Stalwart Flame is a dark-fantasy action RPG roguelike where everything you can do comes from what you find. There is no attack button and no skill tree to grind. Every offensive or defensive action is an item: bind it to a key, aim it, use it. The run you survive is the build you assembled.
Your build is your moveset
No item is simply better than another. Power comes from how items combine.
Eight shortcut keys for what you use, and passives work straight from your bag.
Synergy is how you grow stronger. The right two items together outperform either alone, and the effect compounds the more you stack.
Combinations to discover. Some click the first time you try them. Others take a few runs to find.
Every run rebuilds you
The loot you choose is who you become.
Leveling grows your inventory. Every level adds room to carry and combine more items.
Permadeath. Every run starts fresh.
The road opens as you push. Clearing a floor for the first time unlocks new items for future runs, and reaching milestone floors unlocks new characters.
Enemies are designed, not scaled
The challenge isn't bigger health bars. Every enemy is handcrafted to pressure a specific decision, and some punish the exact build another enemy rewards.
Those who still fight
When sorcery first awoke, the creatures rose with it. Years of war have burned through the armies, and through the hope that sent them. Those who remain still march to purge the land, knowing how it ends for most of them.
They stand like a stalwart flame, the last light of hope humanity has left.
