What Is Slammer?
Slammer is a multiplayer FPS built from the ground up by a solo developer in Unreal Engine 5. The goal is a battle royale where every weapon feels good and every fight is fair. Right now, you can play the firing range playtest and test some of the systems that will power the full game.
What's In The Playtest?
The firing range is a multiplayer sandbox where you and up to 3 other players can test everything Slammer has to offer:
32 weapons across 7 categories: assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, marksman rifles, snipers, pistols, and launchers
A full gunsmith system with 24 attachments that dynamically modify weapon stats
Bolt action, semi-auto, burst, and full auto fire modes with learnable recoil patterns
Hybrid ballistics: hitscan at close range, simulated projectiles at distance
Kill Race objectives you activate by shooting a glass box, putting your position at risk
Full controller support with aim assist
Cross-platform support for Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck
Where Is Slammer Going?
The battle royale is in active development. The firing range exists because the gunplay has to be right before anything else matters. Every weapon, every attachment, every system you test in the playtest is the foundation the full game is being built on.
This is a solo project. I work in Unreal Engine professionally during the day and build Slammer at night. Development is transparent. Updates are regular. If you want to follow along, join the Discord or check out the dev log on YouTube.
Your Feedback Shapes The Game
This isn't a finished product. It's a playtest. Download it, break it, and tell me what you think. Every piece of feedback goes directly to the developer because the developer is one person and he's listening.
