About This Game
Help Mei, the debt-ridden alcoholic owner of a derelict restaurant, avoid ending up on a missing person poster by keeping the loan sharks at bay. Manage her ragtag team, keep up with local food trends, befriend employees and townsfolk, and piece together the truth behind Mei's story in this Tang dynasty China-inspired, narrative-driven business management sim.
Choose your venue – Who says a restaurant is the only way to go in this town? Fine-tune your playstyle by running either a restaurant, a tea house, a pub, or a... ghost kitchen? Aim for international fame or become that beloved corner store just down the road. It's all up to you.
Ride the trends – A keen market sense is the key to a successful business. Offering jasmine tea during the Flower Festival? Yes. Selling pork during a swine fever outbreak? You might want to reconsider. Discover the synergies between your dishes, capitalize on the latest happenings that influence your customers' tastes, dance with the rhythm of seasonal fads, and watch the profit roll in as you combo, combo, combo!
Manage your crew – Your employees have their own lives, too! Keep an eye out on their mental and physical health, support them through their personal struggles and triumphs, and soon you’ll be working with a group of close-knit friends rather than a bunch of lukewarm acquaintances. Perhaps there is also a chance for love to blossom...?
Unwind from work – It's not all about what happens at work! Use your one-day weekend to explore the city, mingle with townies, research real historical recipes, swindle the honey cartel, discuss existential philosophy with a demon, get sucked into an interdimensional portal, etc. You’ve earned it.
