Description
Salvage Inc. is a minimalist incremental space shooter about getting stronger.
Destroy enemies, collect the salvage they leave behind, and spend it on permanent upgrades to your ship. Increase your damage, improve your defences, unlock new weapons and keep pushing forward as the enemies get tougher.
The idea is simple: fight, salvage, upgrade, repeat.
You start with a basic ship and not much firepower. Spend the resources you collect on permanent upgrades to damage, health, shields and more, gradually turning enemies that once gave you trouble into easy targets.
Then move on and find something tougher.
Expand your arsenal as you progress, unlocking autocannons, rockets, energy weapons and drones.
Each weapon has its own upgrades, letting you increase its damage, fire rate and other characteristics. By the later stages, your once-basic ship will be throwing out a lot more firepower than it started with.
Each level brings tougher enemies and new challenges. Defeat bosses to earn the resources you need to progress, then use what you've collected to prepare for the next fight.
There's always another upgrade within reach, another weapon to unlock, or another boss to beat.
Salvage Inc. is designed as a compact incremental game with a beginning and an end, rather than something you're expected to play forever.
If you like buying upgrades, watching numbers go up, and becoming ridiculously more powerful than you were a few hours ago, that's pretty much the game.
