Pixel Imperium is a grand strategy game played on any map you can imagine. A real region imported from a map image, a world generated in seconds, a hand-drawn continent, or a solar system. Then make every part of it your own, from the borders and peoples to how the map looks and how every faction thinks.

• Import a real map and finally play the region and period you've never found in a game.

• Generate a world with its own seas, mountains, realms and peoples in seconds.

• Draw your own in the Map Editor. Paint the land, raise mountains, and allocate factions and resources.

• Take it to space, with planets, moons, and asteroid belts as provinces and fleets crossing the void.

Paint the world.

The Faction Painter turns a blank map into a living scenario. Paint borders and capitals, spread cultures and faiths, and set population, control and buildings province by province. Then name every province, region and sea.

Make the map your own.

• Fully customizable map presentation. Play on a living map with soldiers, towns, fields, and trade caravans, or switch to the Strategic map view mode with a clean map with symbols andarmy cards. Then mix your own. Every label, marker, landscape detail and border can be switched on or off.

• Different visual eras, from ancient legions to starships. Soldiers, ships, towns, walls and caravans all change with the era.

• Customize how map assets look. Import a photo or draw your own soldiers, ships, buildings and landmarks in the built-in asset editor, for the whole map or faction by faction.

• Fonts and colors. Different map fonts, your own ocean and border colors, a paper-map filter, and a name, color and flag for every faction.

• Export your map as a printed survey sheet, with a title, grid, realms, symbols, scale and locator.

• Rename buildings, resources, and units to fit your setting. Fight with hoplites and quinqueremes, ashigaru and atakebune, or marines and dropships.

Give every faction a mind of its own.

Every AI faction has customizable personality traits, including aggression, caution, diplomacy, overlordship, tolerance and mercantilism. Set them by hand or from historical presets. Campaign-wide settings then tune the whole world. Control how often wars break out, how fast conquered land settles, how readily realms bend the knee as vassals, and how harsh the harvests are.

Rule your way.

Every week counts. Pick a province and put up farms, markets, workshops and walls, building by building. Raise armies of different troop types and order them to battle. Offer peace, demand tribute or take a rival as your vassal. Then follow every realm, war, trade deal and construction project from the Faction Overview.

• Build farms, markets, mines, roads, harbors and fortifications, and watch towns, fields and walls grow on the map.

• Trade your surplus, negotiate deals and follow your caravans and merchant ships along their routes.

• Govern your peoples. Accept new cultures and tolerate other faiths, or face resentment and revolt.

• Play the diplomat with alliances, coalitions, vassals, tributaries and peace terms.

• Wage war week by week. March, besiege, ship armies across the sea, and guard your capital.

• Play wide or tall, and switch factions mid-game to lead a rebel upstart's rise to empire.

Centuries of history, yours to write.

Charts and a world history log follow every faction, culture and faith through the centuries, so you can see exactly how your empire rose, or how it fell.
