About This Game
One island. Fruit for everyone. Nobody sharing.
PARRUITS! is a fruit-fueled party brawler for 2–6 players, set on an island with more fruit than anyone could eat. The parrots who live there fight over it anyway, every single day.
Not because there isn't enough. Because every one of them wants all of it.
Three rules. The rest is who blinks first.
1. You are what you eat.
Swallow a fruit and you turn into it. Shape, ability, everything.
2. One bite, one shot.
Turning into a fruit buys you one special move, and using it turns you back. Watermelon spits a stream of seeds. Banana drops a peel and waits. Durian lets out one fart and nobody nearby can think straight. The hard part isn't finding a durian. It's deciding when to stop being one.
3. Nobody dies. They just leave.
Every parrot can kick, fruit or not. There are no health bars: the more damage you take, the farther you fly, and by the end of a round, one kick puts someone in the water. A parrot in mid-flight takes the next one with it, and with any luck neither comes back.
No two rounds play the same.
Every round ends with an upgrade card.
Each card belongs to one fruit, and what you pick takes effect when the next round starts. They stack up, and by the end your parrot is nothing like the one you started with. Everyone else is building something different, so everyone's playing the same brawl with a different plan.
The island isn't on your side.
Fruit doesn't come to you. Break crates, shake trees, and remember that a tree you've stripped sulks until it fruits again. Waves come over the island too, and standing still at the wrong moment means swimming with nobody to blame.
Before you ask
When a round's two minutes run out, everyone still standing ties for the same place. Hiding included.
Local, online, shared screen, Steam Remote Play Together.
A match is five rounds, 10–15 minutes. You can change the round count.
Full controller support. Everyone knows what they're doing by round two.
Eat fruit. Launch your friends. Be the last parrot standing. Until tomorrow morning.
