Your deck is your code. Build branching, looping programs from cards to hit byte targets and outwit rival hackers. A programming-themed roguelike deckbuilder with a heat-driven mastery climb, runaway combos, and a final boss who's been watching you the whole time.
Description
Nybble is a roguelike deckbuilder where every card is a line of code. Stack them into loops. Wrap them in conditionals. Chain detonations that rewrite your program mid-run. Then hit run and watch your logic turn into bytes - or watch a single misplaced statement crash the whole thing.
Twelve hackers, twelve playstyles. Each unlockable hacker rewires the rules: one rewards minimalist programs, another thrives on chaos and explosions, another lets you operate silently. Pick your kit, climb the heat ladder, and learn the shape of every deck you can build.
A meta-economy with teeth. Spend codecoin in the shop between levels. Snap up packages like regex, webhook, prefetch, prometheus - that bend the rules in your favor. Some are common, some you’ll only see once, some unlock only after you’ve already beaten them.
The Architect is waiting. Climb the levels. Survive the bosses. Cross the threshold. Whatever happens at the end of the run isn’t on the page yet - you’ll have to compile it yourself.
12 unlockable hackers, each with unique mechanics
100+ cards: functions, variables, loops, bugs, and events
100+ packages that combo, stack, and occasionally betray you
A heat system with 5+ difficulty tiers per hacker
Endless mode for after you’ve mastered the climb
Original soundtrack
Hackers turns conditionals into engines. Wrap a passing branch in a loop, tuck another conditional inside, and the executor keeps folding back through your program: one card firing dozens of times before the run ends.
This isn't a solitaire game with a coat of paint. Cards nest. Loops run loops. Conditionals gate whole subroutines.
b0mb4rd13r's deck runs hot. Detonating a card ripples through the cards around it. Set up the chain and watch a single run cascade into a screen-shaking payout.
Twelve unlockable hackers, each with a starting deck and a passive that reshapes the whole game. Detonation specialists, chance-warping gamblers, chaos ghosts, conditional obsessives. The meta shifts entirely depending on who you bring.
Flip on Engineer Mode and your program renders as real syntax-highlighted JavaScript instead of card art. Every card shows its source, loops become for (let i = 0; i < N; i++), and toggling a comment turns any line into dead code. Optional, cosmetic, quietly educational.
