Description
In the near future, scientists from Earth accidentally discover the existence of a mysterious dimension called Nexus. Energy waves emanating from this place intrigue the researchers, but before they can investigate further, an interdimensional gate suddenly opens. Fearsome aliens, the Nebulans, emerge from this gate, seeking to conquer Earth and expand their intergalactic empire.
Nexus Storm, inspired by various shooter games (Sanxion, Battle Squadron, R-Type, etc.), is a side-scrolling shooter with different settings. The goal is to traverse each level while avoiding or destroying enemies and obstacles. The side-scrolling speed is adjustable. Enemies can approach from both sides of the screen in close formation, with which the player must avoid colliding.
Two-players co-op mode
5 levels to traverse as quickly as possible
4 differents bonus stages between each level
3 difficulty levels (easy, medium, hard)
Ship speed controllable with the controller
Various power-ups available (shield, 3 different weapons: Plasma, Magma, and Mega-Shoot)
Mega bomb that destroys enemies and the environment around the ship
Destructible environments
2 different camera views (side or top-down)
Atmospheric effects (rain, thunderstorm)
