Defeat the horde. Bind the fallen. Lead them to victory.
You are Gu Gui, a necromancer who wakes in a pauper's coffin. Cast spells on the front line and bind the fallen into skeleton soldiers who charge ahead and guard your back. Fallen skeletons leave bones behind to bind again. Start with a single soldier and grow your legion through battle.
The Fallen Become Your Soldiers. The Dead in Their Graves Come Home.
The undead hordes have bodies but no souls; bind their remains into soldiers. The dead in their graves still have souls. Reclaim the Seal of Return and call them home: A'Cen, a blacksmith who thought he'd never swing a hammer again; Lin He, a carpenter who raises your workshop; Su Ye, a village teacher who writes every returning name into the Book of Return. The forge burns again, and the camp fills with voices. The bodies you cannot bind, you carry home and lay to rest, row by row. A burial ground slowly becomes a place where someone waits for you.

Cast and Command
Fight on the front line while your legion holds back the tide: Bind, Bone Shield, Charge, Rally and Sacrifice — every move reshapes the battlefield. Through Yan Zheng's companion story, you gradually learn formations: the Arrowhead to break their lines, the Ring Wall to guard your back, switched with a single key.
Hold the Lamps, Take the North Pass, Purify the Fogmire
By night the horde floods Greywell village; the lamps at its gates burn one by one, and are hunted one by one. Keep them lit, then face the Well-Bound in the old well. Push north through the North Pass, where a broken blade carved with a single character waits below the watchtower; then into the Fogmire, where poison lamps hold trapped souls and must be purified one by one. Along the way, side quests and relics wait for anyone willing to stop and hear what the dead never got to say.
Companions
- Lin Yuan — A quick-tongued, ever-smiling ranger from Greywell who knows every back road with her eyes closed.
- Yan Zheng — A woman captain of the North Pass, killed the night it fell, held together by a will that would not scatter. She wakes with her blade drawn on you, calling you a corpse-driving sorcerer — until she watches the dead go home one by one and takes you for a comrade.
- Shen Zhi — The physician who keeps seventeen patients alive in the Fogmire apothecary. She can tell there is "nothing human" about you, and guides you to the lamps anyway.
Each companion has her own wish and bond; more will join you in the full game.
The Story
The necromancer Gu Gui wakes in a pauper's coffin. The headstone reads "Raised by the Lamplight Bureau": he was buried by the senior brother he trusted most. The Seal of Return — the power to guide a soul back into its body — has been stolen and misused, and the dead now rise across the land. Bind the fallen, reclaim the Seal piece by piece, bring home those still waiting in their graves, and rebuild a ruin into a home.
