Description
Momoawase | A Memory Game Full of "Mo"
A memory game with strange rules my 3-year-old daughter decided on all by herself.
Turn over a card and it says "も" (mo). Turn over another — "も" again. Two ordinary "も" cards make a pair. So far, it's the memory game you know.
The twist: some cards are a different color. These are animal cards — each one shows a single letter of an animal's name in Japanese, and five of them spell out the whole name. For example, 「あ」「ら」「い」「ぐ」「ま」 spells "araiguma," the Japanese word for raccoon.
Raccoon, long-tailed tit... Flip an animal's cards in the order of its name to collect it. The name is shown at the top left of the screen, so you don't need to read Japanese. Flip one out of order, and the cards turn face down again.
Grab an ordinary "も", or hunt for the next card in an animal's name?
🍑 Three Modes
Survival: You start with 5 lives, and every miss costs one. Clear all the cards and move on to the next round.
Time Attack: Race the clock to clear all 52 cards. The board shuffles every now and then, so stay sharp.
Score Attack: Rack up as many points as you can in 60 seconds. Animal combos are the key to a high score.
Each round takes just a few minutes, so it's perfect for a short break. Your best time, high score, and top rank are saved for each mode, so you can jump right back in whenever you want to beat your record.
🖍️ Doodles Fill Up Your Desk
Every time you clear a mission, a new doodle appears on the desk. These doodles were drawn by my own child and appear in the game just as they are. Collect them all, and your desk gets pretty lively.
