BUILD THE SEQUENCE THAT FIGHTS FOR YOU
Midnight Rogues is a roguelike auto-battler where you buy and arrange cards across a timed tableau and build the sequence that fights for you.
Once combat begins, a countdown moves through your tableau and activates everything in its path. Place the right card in the right slot, order your effects carefully, and build a combo that vanquishes enemies.
CARD PLACEMENT IS KEY
Buy powerful weapons and strange items, rearrange them on your tableau, and experiment with their order to maximize their effects.
Where you place a card determines how it interacts with everything around it, what activates first, and how the rest of your build unfolds.
The exact same collection of cards can produce completely different results depending on how you arrange it.
GROW STRONGER WITH EVERY BATTLE
Grow stronger throughout each run. Spend your earnings at the shop to buy better cards, and defeat bosses to gain relics that can give you tremendous power.
The strongest cards aren’t always the ones with the biggest numbers. Choose cards that work together, then arrange them so every activation counts. Slow the countdown to squeeze more value from an attack, stack poison before multiplying it, or reverse the timer to trigger your earlier cards again.
HUNT DOWN THE CITY'S CORRUPTED HEROES
They call you the Midnight Rogues, three disgraced young superheroes given a second chance by the mysterious Master Wizard and sent into a city filled with superheroes who have gone too far.
He calls them Degenerates: corrupted heroes and former protectors now marked as threats.
Every enemy is another hero on his list. According to Master Wizard, if you don't stop them, they'll bring the whole city down.
Fight your way through The City, collect new cards, rebuild your tableau between encounters, and adapt to a different set of tools every run as you hunt down the Degenerates. But taking down a corrupt hero doesn't always make The City a better place.
