Description
About This Game
Grow your city. Design where the water goes.
Lay roads, zone homes, shops and industry, and grow a small settlement into a city. Metabolis is a low-poly city builder centered on urban growth and water infrastructure. Connect the systems that bring water into town and carry it back to the river.
Where does your wastewater go?
Collecting sewage is only the beginning. Discharge it untreated and pollution spreads downstream. Follow the dirty water, then decide where to draw your supply and where to release your wastewater.
Find the cause. Change the flow.
Water cannot reach the high ground? Add a pump to push it uphill. Pollution is spreading? Route sewage through a treatment plant. Trace the pipes in the water and sewage views, and watch how your choices affect the city and its river.
Design the city around its water
- Power: supply your city with wind turbines, thermal generation and power lines.
- Economy and growth: balance taxes, budgets and demand for homes, shops and industry.
- Terrain and weather: shape the land and build around rivers and hills, with changing weather and a day/night cycle.
- Photo mode: explore the city you built from different viewpoints and at different times of day.
