Overview
MALAKA The Last Report A grounded stealth-action game about uncovering a hidden truth in a remote Indonesian village. Search, survive, and decide: expose the truth or walk away.
Description
"The Last Report" follows the journey of Malaka, a man searching for his missing friend Tirto—a local journalist who disappeared while investigating illegal mining activities in a remote Indonesian village.
What begins as a simple search quickly turns into something far more dangerous. The village of Karangemas hides a disturbing truth: polluted rivers, silent locals, and armed groups guarding something that should never be exposed.
Through fragmented voice notes, environmental clues, and the traces left behind by Tirto, Malaka uncovers a story of exploitation, fear, and a truth that powerful forces are desperate to bury.
As the tension escalates, Malaka must decide—
walk away and survive, or risk everything to reveal the truth.
Exploration:
Navigate through dense forests, abandoned facilities, toxic rivers, and labor camps. Observe your surroundings carefully—every detail matters.
Stealth & Survival:
Avoid confrontation whenever possible. Use shadows, sound, and timing to move unseen. One mistake can lead to deadly consequences.
Environmental Interaction:
Use the world around you to survive. Distract enemies, manipulate objects, and turn the environment into your advantage.
Combat (Limited & Tactical):
Engage only when necessary. Ammo is scarce, and every encounter is unpredictable. Positioning and timing are key.
Narrative Progression:
Piece together the story through voice recordings, documents, and environmental storytelling. The deeper you go, the darker it gets.
Set in a remote Indonesian village, The Last Report presents a grounded and atmospheric world inspired by real environments.
From quiet rural settlements to contaminated rivers and industrial mining sites, each location reflects a contrast between natural beauty and hidden destruction.
The world feels alive—but not welcoming.
People avoid eye contact.
Voices are lowered.
And something is always watching.
