About This Game
Leap, slash, dash, and ricochet your way through a ruined land in this hand-drawn 2D action-exploration game. Wield your light arrow against vicious foes and unlock new abilities to further explore the mountain of Essa. Along the way, you'll uncover the truth and choose the destiny of Lighthoof Noa.
BRAVE A PERILOUS, HAND-CRAFTED WORLD
Every area in Lighthoof is crafted to test your skill and inspire wonder. You'll need precise movement, combat reflexes, and ingenuity to meet the challenge ahead. Explore the petrified trees of the Wishing Wood, the infernal fungi of the Burning Quag, and the haunted tranquility of Our Given Road.
MASTER NEW POWERS
To unlock the world, you must unlock yourself. Each ability you gain is as useful in a fight as it is in exploration.
ENJOY TIGHT CONTROLS
Noa's movement is designed to give complete control to the player. It's instantaneous, satisfying, and fluid.
DUEL DEADLY FOES
Unique, memorable bosses will force you to learn their movesets and adapt your approach. Wind-up animations and rhythmic patterns turn fights into a tough-but-fair dance with death.
(UN)BALANCE YOUR BUILD
Power comes at a cost. With the nine-pointed Enneagon Customization System, enhancing one of the nine aspects makes you stronger—but creates a weakness in another area.
Experiment freely! Stat points are always reassignable.
BEFRIEND COLORFUL CHARACTERS
Each character is rendered in a hand-drawn, traditionally-animated 2D style. Learn their stories and be the hero they need!
DELVE INTO THE LORE
Piece together the complex history of Essa through legends, environmental storytelling, and even decryption. The hostilities of the past leave scars on a broken world. Everything is connected.
