KILL DEATH. RETURN TO EDEN.
You died. Hell took you by mistake. Nobody is coming to fix it.
KOR EDEN is a dark-fantasy action roguelite. You fight down through Hell, room by room, to the one thing that can send you home: Death. On the way, the devils offer you power. Every offer tells you the price before you take it.
A CATHEDRAL OVER A SEA OF FIRE
Hell is a chain of halls standing on rock above a lava chasm, joined by bridges. Each one has a name and its own fight.
The Threshold, where the dead keep the door.
The Cinder Nave, an island of stone inside a burning church.
The Broken Choir, a courtyard under a fallen roof.
The Gatekeeper's Hall.
The Correction, where the Ministry passes sentence.
EVERY POWER HAS A PRICE
Devils rise through the floor and make you an offer: two pacts on the table, a power and a price on each. Take one, or refuse. A devil you turn down comes back later with a stronger offer.
- THE PASSAGE — Dodge through an attack: your next hit is stronger. Dodge with no attack coming and you stumble.
- THE CHAIN — Parry an enemy and it is chained, taking double damage. Move too far from it and you are knocked down.
- THE LEDGER — Damage you take can be won back by parrying. Damage you don't win back lowers your max health.
- THE HUNGER, THE BRAND, THE TOLL, THE BELLOWS — and more, opened at the altar between runs.
Carry two pacts that belong together and they combine into something new.
CHOOSE YOUR ROAD
When a room falls, two seal stones rise at the way down. Touch one to choose the next room: the bloody road (more enemies, an extra gift), the plain road, or the quiet road (fewer enemies, a full heal). The prize can be a pact, or one of Hell's gifts: more health, a stronger blade, ash for the altar.
COMBAT YOU CAN READ
Third-person melee where the difficulty is reading and timing, not hidden numbers.
- Every attack shows itself first. Orange can be parried. Violet cannot: dodge it.
- A parry heals. Defence turns into offence.
- Enemies with roles. Husks to parry, lancers and brutes to dodge and space, and three bosses: the Warden, the Gatekeeper, the Correction.
- Death costs you. Fall, and your ash stays where you died. Go back and take it.
