A precious treasure known as the Spirit-Sealing Jar has been stolen from the Tanuki village!

A criminal message left behind reveals that the thieves are members of the fox clan's secret society—

"Jūgoya."

Sodeko, a tanuki girl and the village's finest fighter, sets off in hot pursuit to recover the stolen treasure.

But what awaits her is far more than a simple group of enemies.

The fox girls stand in her way, wielding a variety of supernatural techniques.

And the key to the battle is a brand-new system:

ENEMY ATTACK SELECT

Before each battle, an ENEMY ATTACK SELECT sequence takes place, where enemy attack modifiers are selected using a slot machine.

The possible modifiers include:

• Increased enemy defense

• Increased or altered bullet speed

• Additional reinforcements

• Surprise attacks

Among the various negative modifiers that can strengthen the enemy, the slot machine determines what you'll have to face.

Naturally, fighting with powerful negative modifiers active makes the battle much more difficult.

So what can you do?

The answer lies in how you build your item loadout.

Identify how the enemy has been strengthened, then combine the items you've collected throughout the stage to overcome the disadvantage.

It's not simply about increasing your firepower.

Which items should you equip, and how should you combine them to counter the enemy's strengths?

That is one of the most important keys to mastering the game.

How Will You Build Your Item Loadout?

Each item you acquire during a stage has a different role.

SHOT

Enhances your basic shooting attack.

Your primary means of dealing with enemies head-on.

BOMB

A powerful attack that can turn a dangerous situation around in an instant.

It can dramatically change the flow of battle when the screen is filled with enemy bullets.

OPTION

Additional weapons that support your main attack.

Combine them with your regular shot to increase your attack range and firepower.

OPTIONS can also be switched to rear-facing attacks, making them particularly useful for dealing with surprise attacks from behind.

CHARGE SWORD

Charge your weapon to unleash a sword that spins around Sodeko, allowing her to attack enemies at close range.

The sword doesn't just damage enemies—it can also slash through enemy bullets.

Instead of simply dodging a bullet hell, you can use your sword to cut through the barrage itself.

As the sword's level increases, the number of rotations also increases, allowing you to deal continuous damage.

CHARGE WEAPON

Charge up to unleash a powerful special attack.

By choosing when and how to use it, you can deal with enemies and situations that are difficult to overcome with regular attacks alone.

Its piercing attack can also reach bosses even when they are surrounded by other enemies, making it easier to deal damage to them.

CHARGE HOMING MISSILE

Charge up and launch powerful homing missiles.

The missiles create an explosion upon impact, and the explosion itself also deals damage.

This makes them particularly effective for dealing heavy damage to bosses.

As the level increases, the number of missiles that can be launched also increases.

In this game, simply collecting more items doesn't necessarily make you stronger.

The most effective item build changes depending on the negative modifiers applied to the enemies.
