Description
About This Game
Step into the realm of King of Hearts. Dark and intricate fantasy kingdom management game where you're the lone human in a world inhabited by enigmatic creatures. Here, the tales of heroes have faded, replaced by somber chronicles of uncertainty... mostly.
You'll construct your realm using "construct parchments" cards on the special board called "regal carte." Develop your kingdom. Build sawmills, farms, and homes – the typical stuff. But don't expect the typical happy endings. However, dismiss any notions of conventional happiness. Your subjects harbor desires divergent from the norm, demanding your understanding to maintain their existence and contentment.
Your day-to-day involves talking with advisors and inhabitants during "auditions." These conversations shape your reign. It's not just your kingdom you have to manage, but also your own health and psyche. A stressed-out king rules no one well.
Forget about pretty landscapes. The visuals are painstakingly hand-drawn, channeling a dark comic book aesthetic. You won't find any knights in colorfull armor here, just shadows, secrets, and a lot of gray areas.
King of Hearts is a kingdom management game that pulls no punches. It's about tough choices, twisted stories, and balancing power. Do you have what it takes to rule when the happy ending isn't guaranteed? Time will tell... or not.
