BLAME IT ON THE TEQUILA
Have you ever had an absurd dream and believed it was all real? Well, that’s exactly what happened to this group of partygoers after a wild Day of the Dead celebration. They found themselves trapped in a shared nightmare where the piñata got tired of taking a beating, so it put on a blindfold and chased them all night long!
SOUND GIVES YOU AWAY; SILENCE SEALS YOUR FATE...
The piñata hunts the partygoers by sound! Every little noise you make turns into colorful echoes that reveal your location.
Going to eat some candy? It will hear every bite. Decide not to eat? Your stomach will growl with hunger and give away your hiding spot. Try to run away? It will hear every single step you take.
And believe me... standing still might be the worst decision you could make!
WEAR THE BLINDFOLD
In Hush Piñata, you can also take on the role of the piñata! And your mission is simple: turn the partygoers' nightmare into something even worse!
During the match, golden cubes will appear across the map, bringing new surprises to make your hunt even more fun... at least for you!
Collecting one of these cubes grants you a random weapon, each with unique abilities and perks to help you take down the partygoers.
THE TASK AT HAND...
The partygoers' main mission is simple: rip off the piñata's tail! But there's a slight problem... at the start of the match, it's locked tight and can't be torn off!
To unlock it, the partygoers must complete a series of tasks scattered across the map. It sounds easy, but the catch is that each task is noisier than the last, and any noise might attract the piñata's attention!
THE COWARD'S ARSENAL
For every task completed, you earn a ticket to use at the item stall! There, you'll find a variety of surprises to make your mission easier... or turn the other partygoers' nightmare into something even worse!
THE GOAT
This goat can sniff out any partygoer carrying a piece of candy in their pocket! If it catches the scent, watch out! He’ll chase you across the map, bleating non-stop and making enough noise to draw the piñata's attention!
The only way to keep him quiet is to offer up one of your precious candies.
But the choice is yours... give the goat a treat, or risk being found by the piñata?
RIP OFF THE TAIL.
If, by some miracle, you’re still alive after all that, having completed every task and escaped the piñata, congratulations! But don't celebrate just yet... because the hardest part is only just beginning!
Now you need to work up the courage to get close to the piñata and rip off its tail!
Sound impossible? Hold on, it gets even worse!
Once you’ve ripped off the tail, you’ll have to run for your life while holding onto it until the counter hits 100%. And watch out! Other partygoers might try to steal it from you, too!
If your strategy works and you pull off this feat, get ready for the grand finale: the piñata EXPLODES in a shower of candy!
All those treats will be converted into coins you can spend in the lobby's skin shop to unlock new looks for your characters.
DYING ISN'T THE END OF THE MATCH
Did you die? Don't worry, your nightmare isn't over yet!
How you die depends on the game mode. In "Steal the Piñata's Tail," you get a second chance to return to the land of the living. Just take an offering to the altar and perform the ritual to resurrect!
But here's a tip: never die empty-handed!
If you forget to secure an offering before you die, you'll have to wander the map as a ghost, haunting other partygoers and trying to convince them to make an offering on your behalf!
In "Last Survivor" mode, death is final... but that doesn't mean you have to sit back and watch everyone else have fun!
Upon dying, you can take control of La Catrina and explore the land of the dead, searching for the bodies of other partygoers who met an unpleasant end.
Your new mission is to collect these bodies and earn coins as a reward, coins you can spend at the lobby skin shop!
This mechanic ensures no one misses out on the fun. Even after being eliminated, you stay involved in the match by exploring, completing a new mission, and racking up rewards while waiting to see who wins it all.
THREE MODES
STEAL THE PIÑATA'S TAIL: the main mode. Up to 8 Partygoers versus 1 blindfolded Piñata. Tasks, tickets, tail, burst, you already know this mode.
LAST ONE STANDING: no tail, no tasks, and no clock. Just survival. The last Partygoer alive wins and takes all the coins, which means the Partygoer next to you also wants you to make noise.
TEAM VS. TEAM: Green vs. Red, from 2v2 to 4v4, with the Piñata controlled by the game. The team that ends up holding the tail wins, best of three.
AND BETWEEN MATCHES
The coins you collect can be spent in the lobby shop to buy characters, hairstyles, hats, mustaches, outfits, and various accessories.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING THE GAME
For the best experience, use headphones! Sound is a crucial part of Hush Piñata, and hearing where noises are coming from can make all the difference.
Using a microphone is also very important, as the Piñata can hear your voice and figure out where you are. But don't worry, you can also play with the microphone turned off.
You can play online with up to 9 players by creating a private room with a code for your friends or by joining one of the available public rooms.
Matches are quick, and players can take turns playing as the Piñata.
