Description
Guerreni is a real-time strategy (RTS) game in early development, with fully destructible/reshapeable terrain and water simulation. Loose materials like gravel, sand, and snow slide down mountainsides and erode quickly in flowing water, while rock and concrete can support overhangs and bridges.
This opens up new tactical possibilities. Shaping terrain into defensive structures, creating and maintaining corridors for your units to advance, and using natural features to your advantage will be at the center of your planning.
These material differences are not just for show. You can dig a tunnel straight through solid rock, but a vein of loose material can make the job much harder. Building a road in an avalanche-prone area risks blocked supply routes when you need them most. You'll have various technologies to help you, but it's up to you to decide which ones to invest in.
Guerreni takes inspiration from time-tested RTS classics like Command & Conquer, Age of Empires, and a fairly obscure (but very comfy) game called State of War. The more exotic (for an RTS game) features are inspired by Timberborn, Factorio and classic tycoon games such as Transport Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon.
A scenario editor is available for everyone to create and share custom maps.
The game is in early development and should improve visually, especially on the UI part, as work progresses.
