Supply wins wars.
Fuel & Steel is a classic real-time strategy game with one different rule: your army is only as strong as its supply. Every vehicle has a real fuel tank. Every tank has a magazine of eight shells. When the fuel is gone, it stops. When the shells are gone, it can't fight.
You decide, your units execute
Nothing supplies itself. Fuel trucks and ammo trucks drive only where you send them. Getting a truck through to a stranded tank group is as important as winning the fight.
Three resources, three chains
- Fuel: find hidden oil with the survey truck, build a derrick, haul crude to the refinery, deliver fuel to the front.
- Steel: harvest deposits and the wrecks of destroyed vehicles. Steel builds everything, including every shell.
- Ammo: made to order from steel and carried forward by truck.
Hunt the supply line
Destroyed fuel trucks drop barrels, destroyed ammo trucks drop shells. Anyone can pick them up. An enemy column without fuel is just standing there. Wrecks stay on the battlefield and become steel for whoever gets there first.
Information decides where
Fog of war, radar contacts that are not line of sight, and a cursor that tells you how far your fuel will take you before you give the order.
A desert in 2160
The Accord has given up the outer territories. Major Hale refuses to retreat. Radio reports the situation and never tells you the solution.
