Description
Secure hostile asteroid sites across the outer solar system in a physics-based space combat expedition.
You are alone in deep space, approaching silent asteroid sites where old machines have taken control.
Your instruments are limited. The dark hides threats, and every maneuver matters in true zero gravity, where rotation, drift, and momentum can decide whether you survive the approach.
Use Smart Newtonian control when you need careful drift, gentle contact, and precise alignment. Switch to Vector Flight when combat gets close and you need the ship to respond fast.
Skim crater walls, slide past ridges, rotate toward threats, and choose the flight mode that fits the moment.
In VR, headset-based targeting lets you look, lock, and fire while your hands stay on flight control.
The asteroid is the battlefield.
Combat happens close to the rock. Craters hide weapons. Rovers patrol the surface. Hover ships pull the fight into open zero gravity.
Rovers crawl across the asteroid, guarding resource sites and cutting off safe paths near the surface.
When you fly low, the terrain below you is not empty.
Hover ships patrol above the rock, fast enough to turn a quiet approach into a moving fight.
Once they find you, the battle leaves the surface and opens up into zero gravity.
Use rapid fire to track fast-moving hover ships and keep pressure on anything that gets too close.
For heavier targets, launch physics-based projectiles from the top-mounted turret. They eject from the barrel, coast forward, ignite their engines, then bend toward the locked target point before striking in a bright flash.
Heavy shots can break machines apart, but they also throw debris across the asteroid surface. Fire carelessly, and the space you need to fly through becomes harder to survive.
Dock with old survey craft and small vessels deployed near these asteroids decades ago. Match your position, rotation, and approach speed before making contact.
Resource-rich asteroids show up as bright signatures on radar. Bring the ship in and press the front-mounted Regolith Extraction Module, REX, against the surface and hold contact until the asteroid fractures.
Rare metals, dust, and debris burst into space. Back out before the debris field damages your ship.
A small drone you deploy from the cockpit.
It follows your gaze and lights whatever you are looking at. In the shadow of an asteroid, it is the only thing that sees for you.
Expedition Astra was built around VR cockpit presence.
In VR, you sit inside the ship, look around the asteroid field, aim with your headset, and judge distance through motion and scale.
The game is also playable on a standard display with a game controller.
