About This Game
*El Penitente* is a pixel-art psychological thriller and point-and-click adventure. You take on the role of Fausto, a prosecutor embarking on a journey to find his son while haunted by the relentless consequences of his own past misconduct.
The story immerses you in a stormy night in the colonial city of Riobamba. Everything begins to unravel when Mateo—the local prosecutor's son—vanishes without a trace, and his own family claims the boy never existed. Trapped in a darkened house during a blackout, the mystery transforms into a mental labyrinth as he faces an unseen intruder who knows every bribe he accepted and every unjust verdict he handed down in the past.
