Description
You are a contracted rescue engineer working for the notoriously stingy DuckTape Inc. Your job is to secure runaway anomalies as quickly and cheaply as possible. Stabilizing pressure, heat, and power systems, recovering data tapes, and neutralizing strange entities you encounter before hauling them into the cage hanging beneath your helicopter are all part of the daily routine… assuming you manage to avoid being “quietly removed” from the payroll.
In 1–5 player co-op contracts, your headlamp and body camera are your only real safety net. Communication is often limited, and when things go wrong, teamwork can quickly descend into chaos. Each contract reshuffles objective locations, patrol routes, and unexpected events, ensuring that no two missions ever play out the same.
Dealing with environmental hazards, keeping your teammates on their feet, and dragging unconscious entities—or ragdoll-like teammates—back toward the helicopter soon becomes second nature. Small mistakes can trigger chain reactions, and every mishap is logged in the company report as “additional costs.”
As contracts progress, expectations rise, conditions grow harsher, and DuckTape Inc.’s passive-aggressive corporate announcements never stop echoing in the background. Survival is important—but so is making sure you don’t become “too expensive” for the company to keep around.
