Description
Avenue Zero is a 1v1 competitive arena fighter designed with a simple goal: give fighting game players a system worth mastering. This isn’t a button-masher or a cinematic shortcut engine. It’s a movement-conscious, state-driven combat system inspired by the best aspects of: Tenkaichi’s directional commitment and movement freedom.
Avenue Zero is currently in early pre-alpha.
We're in the process of building out and refining the core combat systems—Measure and Anchor states, Impulse timing, directional pressure, and Flow mechanics—before expanding into full campaign content or large-scale art production.
Our focus is mechanical first:
Every system is being designed to support competitive integrity, expressive play, and clean feedback. The goal is to build a foundation that can hold up under serious labbing and high-level match pacing. We’re not starting from spectacle—we’re starting from substance.
Avenue Zero is built from a high-ambition blueprint:
A competitive-first 1v1 fighter
A full-featured campaign mode with ensemble characters
A city-scale world driven by an original genre: Jack City Punk
A system that grows with the community and supports serious skill development
