About This Game
The boss has 400 HP. You have 12. Swap them.
AUTOGENESIS is a roguelike deckbuilder where you can hack any number on screen: enemy attacks, card costs, health, even the combat log. Break the math, stack absurd combos, and survive when the system hacks you back.
Use an exploit and pick a target to rewrite it. Hacking requires a skill check: land in the green to execute. Miss your timing and the variable corrupts. Hacks on your variables are permanent, so by the end of a run you've written your own deck.
Damage resolves from whatever a variable says. Often the fastest way to survive a hit is to edit it. You can swap two values, copy one onto another, or wire them together so they change as one.
You're not the only one with write access. Enemies tamper with your numbers too, and every hack raises the heat. The deeper you dig, the harder the machine pushes back.
When you fall, you're archived and a new session begins. Spend what you learned on the PRETRAINING board to unlock new scripts, artifacts and ROOTKIT kernels. Refunds are free, so you can rebuild the board anytime.
