The house keeps your mistakes.
Your invitation bears your signature. You never signed it. The Ghost Clerk remembers you. You don't remember him.
A Table of Liars is a single-player poker roguelike about risk, promises, and the choices you leave behind. Follow a missing page through a supernatural casino, with Old Rook at your shoulder and a hundred rivals between you and the truth.
Three cards are safe. The fourth must earn its place.
Build a poker pattern, read your opponent, and decide when to stand. After the first three cards, every extra draw must improve your pattern or you bust. The table explains your hand and can show the risk before you commit. Inspect the next card, trust a gesture, or challenge a suspicious claim.
Put your word on the table.
Promise an exact pattern for an extra reward. Keep your word even if the rival wins the showdown. Pay to rewrite a draw, but live with its consequence: the crossed-out card becomes the rival's face-up opening card in the next hand. Your correction leaves a trace.
One mystery. Ten chapters. A hundred witnesses.
The Living Atlas connects all 100 rivals through ten branching chapters. Each chapter takes you through six encounters. Inspections, kept promises, exposed lies, and winning patterns become evidence that opens other seats. Your casebook remembers travelled routes, rival encounters, and the hands that earned your passage. Begin with The Missing Page, a shorter prologue, or follow the mystery into the Atlas.
Bring something curious.
Choose a starting role and build around nine collectible curios. Spectacles reveal information; blotting paper gives you another correction; other tools reward promises, patterns, or calling a bluff. Between tables, buy a curio or remove or copy a card. The edited deck belongs to both sides.
Learn at the same table.
