From a wooden tray to a neighbor's everyday life.

A String of Purrs is a cozy, single-player 3D bracelet-crafting game. Settle into a little shop by the window, with a cat for company. Read your neighbors' letters, turn loose beads into handmade bracelets, and wrap each finished piece for its new owner.

Make the whole bracelet by hand

Look for speckles, grooves and colors as you sort mixed beads into wooden boxes. Fit your tools and shape each bead to the size and form you need. Arrange the bracelet, choose accent beads and a cord, then thread, tighten and tie it. Most of the work happens through objects right on your desk.

Follow a letter, and add your own touches

Your neighbors have particular materials, sizes and occasions in mind. One is making a gift; another wants something to go with a favorite shirt. Follow the request and choose your own accents where the design allows. Or visit the crafting workshop to make a bracelet for yourself, keep it in your collection, or put it up for an offer from an in-game buyer.

A little feline magic

After threading, trace a rune and set the bracelet inside the circle to charge it. Your cat companion and flowing light bring the little ritual to life. Later, your neighbors' letters and updates reveal what the finished piece has done for them.

Wrap it beautifully, and finish with wax

Line the box with seasonal leaves, scatter a few glittering bead chips, and tuck in colorful wool balls. Close the lid, leave a wax seal, and send your handmade bracelet to the person waiting for it.

Make the shop your own

Spend your earnings on tea sets, plants, incense burners and textiles, working your way from simple everyday objects to finely decorated pieces. Ring the little desk bell to visit your collection. Pick up the cassette player and press play when you'd like some music, with a little breeze outside the window.

At your workbench:

• Sort textured beads, then shape, arrange, thread and tie them by hand.

• Read commissions and returning neighbors' letters, with photos of the pieces you delivered.

• Add feline magic, decorate each parcel, and finish with a wax seal.

• Craft freely, collect your work, or consider offers from in-game buyers.

• Choose decorations and gradually furnish your own little shop.
