The Groundz is a "dope" street dodgeball game within its own multi-dimensional genre of sci-fi action-sport. Players can battle out intense dodgeball rounds within a hyper-realism context that also includes the following unique design features:

A 3D marine survival game playing as a Clownfish surviving from harmful human activity in coral reefs.

Music Game

Illuminate is an immersive 2D platformer where one plays as a lightbulb who must endure a journey through the streets of the Mission District. Throughout the game the lightbulb is following his family's trail, who have disappeared from Mission District due to displacement.

Uprooted is a 2D platformer that explores themes of assimilation and heritage loss common to immigrant narratives by forcing the player to sacrifice abilities in order to progress through the world. As part of a fully POC team completely new to game development, we drew heavily from our own experiences and those of our parents to craft this game. Just as the player finds it exponentially more difficult to accomplish previously simple tasks with the loss of each ability, some of our parents, for instance, struggled with language barriers that made even setting up simple doctors appointments (or self-advocacy at them) daunting. In just ten short weeks, we set out to replicate their experience. Join Dru as she faces the same trials, leaving everything she knows behind and sacrificing both her native tongue and abilities in order to pursue a new life elsewhere.

Te Amo Mamá is a 2D side scroller that exposes players to the (often underrepresented) experience of motherhood. Become a mother hen who guides and protects her chick as they make their way back to their flock.

2 American is a dialogue centered side scroller where you play as Ashley Trinh, a first-gen Asian American, who has trouble communicating to her immigrant parents due to a language and cultural barrier. In this game, we highlight the frustration of having decisions made for you and not knowing how to talk to your parents about it. 2 American serves as a window into some of the hardships a child of immigrants born in America might have to deal with in their immigrant household such as not understanding what your parents are saying when they speak to you, being compared to your more successful cousin, and arguing about what career you must have in the future.
