In order to decode the information in the journal and debug it, King Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Jiminy Cricket digitalize it. With the help of a digital Sora, recreated from the Journal's code, they start exploring the Worlds in the journal to reveal what is missing. Leveling-up and gaining abilities in done by installing chips and unlocking Support Abilities and Command and Accessory expansions in the Stat Matrix. The Matrix also includes Cheat Tuners that are used to change gameplay elements such as game difficulty, item drop rates, etc. In addition to the regular Action RPG elements from the Kingdom Hearts series, the game includes gameplay elements from other genres. In some Worlds or Boss battles the game mechanics change completely. Some are Side-scrolling or third-person shooter levels, and even turn-based RPG. As in Playhouse Disney: Stanley Tiger Tales, clicking on some objects takes Stanley into his imagination, where he pretends to be anything from a penguin sliding on the snow to a sting ray navigating around obstacles on the ocean floor.

Players control Mike as he searches the factory and solve puzzles to restore the parts to the Laugh Energy Filter 5000, a laugh machine which is needed for a big press conference. Exploring the factory takes players to a variety of locations including the lobby, platform room, atrium, maintenance room, cafeteria, security booth, conference room, elevator, trash room, pipe room, tentacle room, contamination room, R&D lab, pressure control room, locker room, mailroom and more. During the adventure, players interact with characters from the film, including Delta, Boo, Fran, Smitty, Needleman, Skip, and Wally. In addition to solving puzzles, kids are required to complete simple tasks like finishing Mike's paperwork, exploring every room in the factory to find joke cards, and maintaining a small inventory. Joke cards are used by Mike to match specific types of jokes, categorized by sports, animals, science, food, music, family, transportation, school, monsters and clown routines, with certain kids to make them laugh. Upon completion of the first puzzle, a blueprint becomes available that shows the missing machine parts as well as a list of items that have been found. After Mike rescues Boo early in the game, players gain access to the Cereal Slide mini-game where the goal is to become the first player to line up colored cereal pieces horizontally, vertically or diagonally in a row of three (3x3 grid) or four (5x5 or 7x7 grids). Hints and gameplay instructions are included in a printable and colorful electronic manual on the CD.

It's a dark and stormy night when Mickey and friends drop in at a haunted house looking for directions; the front door slams shut, locking the group in, and the five of them spread out to search the house for keys. The house is haunted by three friendly ghosts that only Pluto and the player can see; Shaky, Quaky and Clyde, who assist the group by making keys available as Mickey and pals solve six puzzles. Silverware dances, a stuffed bear yawns and stretches, spiders scurry about as the player clicks on items in the six rooms; often two characters will converge in a room and hold a short conversation while the player is idle. Gameplay uses the mouse; to move from room to room the player clicks where the cursor becomes an arrow - at the edge of the screen, on the staircase and the secret passageway.

As he uncovers animations and plays games, the player will sometimes be directed to Stanley's "Big Book of Everything", which he totes around in a wagon along with the items he finds. This book has a page and at least one animal for every letter of the alphabet except X - each page tells a few facts about the animal and offers a printable picture. As the player uncovers Stanley's stickers, they will appear in the book as well. Sometimes Stanley will seize upon an object the player has clicked and use it in imaginative play; for instance, finding his bear slippers makes Stanley pretend to be a bear reaching for a hive full of honey, and upon finding a cardboard tube Stanley puts it on his nose and pretends to be an anteater. These play scenes are accompanied by interesting tidbits about whatever animal he is being.

Set in London and Paris players can do different types of activities selected from a city map. Many parts of the map can be clicked to receive information about famous sightseeing locations and historical buildings. London has the Chow Time mini-game where hungry pups need to be fed as an arcade game. A character needs to be moved near the top of the screen, sliding food down one of the four long vertical tables when a puppy appears. The food needs to reach the puppy before they reach the kitchen or a live is lost. The game keeps track of high scores. In the art gallery, a custom picture can be created using backgrounds, stickers, colours, characters and illustrations. You can also adopt a puppy and play with it through actions such as feeding or taking it to the park to meet other dogs and play fetch. There are four international parks to visit including Tokyo. In Paris, there is a detective mini-game involving locating missing puppies. It can be played with one or two players. This is done by gathering clues from the Parisian Twilight Bark gang of dogs. The answers they provide a stored in a notebook and the player needs to compare these with the description provided about the missing dogs to identify the correct one. Elements include the breed and origin, colour, size, and types of hair and ears. In Le Pelt's bakery, a platform game can be played controlling Oddball. He needs to collect all puppies before Cruella, Alonzo, or Le Pelt capture her. The villains can be slowed down by throwing frosting, butter and jelly at them, collected as power-ups.

Mushu is given the task to deliver the magical scrolls which contain the legend of Mulan to the emperor of ancient China. Mushu is warned not to drop the scrolls because the magic will fall out of them if he does. Mushu drops the scrolls anyway when Cri-Kee comes from behind and startles him. Now Mushu must regain the lost scrolls and place the magic back in them. The game is basically an interactive storybook where the player helps the story move forward by completing certain tasks. Some of these tasks include retrieving items requested by Grandma Fa, dressing up Mulan and Mushu with a variety of hats, tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories, playing a mix and match puzzle to obtain armor, and figuring out the correct order gongs should be hit in order to awake Mulan's ancestors. A sample of some of the other activities include playing Mahjong and throwing snowballs at enemy soldiers. The game also lets the player have a sing along karaoke-style to three songs from the movie. There is also an activity that let's players place cut-outs of characters and locations experienced during the game onto a sheet of paper which can then be colored in using a paint set.

Based on the characters from the animated Disney movie Aladdin, Disney Learning: Math Quest with Aladdin takes place in the fictional city of Agrabah, where the evil genie Bizarrah has just been set free from a long imprisonment in a lamp. The player, with assistance from Iago (the parrot) and the genie, must break out of the dungeon where Bizarrah has confined him, find Abu, Jasmine, and Aladdin, find all the pieces of the broken lamp, and lock Bizarrah away inside it for good. To free the heroes, the player must perform tasks for street vendors, mix up magic potions, win tickets in a carnival booth, and solve puzzles to unlock doors. Each task, puzzle, and game is math oriented; there are symmetry puzzles, tangrams, mosaics, logic puzzles, sequencing and pattern puzzles, as well as addition and even elementary algebra.

Rafiki, Timon and Pumbaa from Disney's Lion King are the tutors in this typing game created for children ages 6 and up. The comedic meerkat and warthog team are "going off on an adventure to broaden their horizons", and wise old Rafiki advises them to bring along his keyboard. When they demur, Rafiki enjoins the player to assist them in their travels, and the typing tutorial begins. The game employs standard practice routines, beginning with proper posture and placement of the fingers on the keys, followed by letter repetitions as each section of the keyboard is mastered. At first the exercises focus on accuracy, later working up to increasing the player's typing speed. Keyboard exercises are interspersed with mini typing games that become available as the player progresses: Milestones are rewarded with printable certificates, and Rafiki keeps a progress report of the player's WPM (words per minute) and accuracy statistics, as well as showing which keys the player needs to work on. There is a Ctrl + P option at the sign-in page that allows the unlocking of all the games and lessons.

The game, marketed as "The Stunt Flying and Filming Simulation", provides an island which contains a number of different film sets, such as a city, an oil rig, a canyon, and an aircraft carrier. The player can position cameras and props around these sets, and create triggers to start actions including the camera panning and an object moving. The game also has an editing mode where the player can splice together taped footage and insert sound effects. It was re-released in 2016 on GOG.com with support for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
