There is no story to follow. Each edition is a fresh season with updated teams and refinements to the same management core, so pick a recent one and go straight into career mode.
More than the main path
Pro Cycling Manager took its current name in 2005, four years after Cyanide's first Cycling Manager. Each edition asks the same thing: build a squad, plan its calendar, then call the attacks and the chases yourself. A career mode carries that work across seasons.

The 2008 edition features improved racing graphics, a new lighting system, more detailed backgrounds and incredibly realistic rider models and animations. The management aspect also offers more depth and realism due to the new tools and systems available. Plus, for the first time, you can now compete in professional track cycling.
