Take out enemy sites. Rescue hostages. Your role affects your team's success. Your team's success affects your role.
Before you press start
There is no story to follow. Counter-Strike 2 replaced Global Offensive in 2023, so start there. Go back to the 2000 release or Source for the history. Condition Zero is the one to try for a single-player campaign.
More than the main path
Counter-Strike started as a fan project and became Valve's team shooter. The formula has barely moved: buy your kit, play the round, live with the result. Source, Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2 each rebuilt it on newer tech, while Neo took it to Japanese arcades.

When the credits roll
Counter-Strike Neo is a Japanese arcade adaptation of Counter-Strike, the original Half-Life multiplayer modification. It was published by Namco and runs on a Linux system. The game features unique maps, factions, and settings, though the gameplay and the weapon lineups remain the same as other Counter-Strike games, only with a huge difference in visuals.
