Aventuria, from the tabletop
The Dark Eye began as a German tabletop RPG in 1984. Its computer games, set in the fantasy world of Aventuria, run from Attic's Realms of Arkania in 1992 to Daedalic's adventures and tactics.
One world. Many eras.
Attic years. Attic's Realms of Arkania trilogy brought the rules to computers, opening with Blade of Destiny in 1992 and closing with Shadows over Riva.

A legacy worth revisiting
These games carry over the tabletop game's detail and world. Realms of Arkania offered party-based depth, Drakensang brought a classic RPG to modern PCs, and Daedalic split the setting between point-and-click adventures and the tactical Blackguards games.
