Aim for the limbs
EA's sci-fi survival horror series began in 2008, sending engineer Isaac Clarke through ships and stations overrun by Necromorphs, where cutting off limbs beats aiming for the head.
One world. Many eras.
The Ishimura. The first game strands Isaac on the mining ship USG Ishimura as its crew turn into Necromorphs. Extraction, a Wii rail shooter, shows how the outbreak began.

A legacy worth revisiting
Dead Space turned mining tools into weapons and the HUD into part of Isaac's suit, keeping you locked inside the horror. Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey's team at EA Redwood Shores, later Visceral Games, built a universe of alien Markers, zealots and corpses that refuse to stay dead.
