A legacy worth revisiting
Born from a cancelled SNES project, Banjo-Kazooie became Rare's answer to the 3D platformer boom, led by designer Gregg Mayles. Banjo carries, Kazooie sasses, and Gruntilda rhymes her way through every defeat. Later games moved to handhelds, then to vehicle-building on Xbox 360.
