Everybody has remembered waking up early on the weekend to watch Saturday morning cartoons. But would would happen if the cartoons were interactive? Well, you might end up with something like Death Valley Rally. The object is pretty simple: Race the Road Runner through each level as quickly as you can while collecting different colored flags, which are worth different amounts of points. When you reach the ending, if you're fast enough, you'll also get a time bonus, but if you're good enough, you'll get a flag bonus. Some of the flags are INCREDIBLY difficult to find, and the fact that you won't usually be able to find them, will challenge (or at least frustrate) most gamers. You can run, turbo run (by stocking up on bird seed), peck, and jump in this wild adventure, as you try to catch the escape the ever-witty Wile E. Coyote and his assorted ACME contraptions.

This side-scrolling game allows the player to control different Looney Tunes characters and their different abilities to advance through the levels, seven in all. The player can use Daffy Duck (throwing a frisbee to defeat enemies with Mario-style gameplay), Tweety Bird (elude Sylvester throughout the level), Porky Pig (control a bi-plane to shoot down enemies), Taz (really only a bonus game in which he has to collect as many steaks as possible in 60 seconds), Speedy Gonzalez (elude ghosts and ghouls in a haunted mansion), Roadrunner (of course running from his arch enemy, Wile E. Coyote) and finally Bugs Bunny (gameplay similar to Daffy).

Batman: Return of the Joker was developed and published by Sunsoft as the second in their Batman series on the Nintendo Entertainment System. The story itself was self-contained, and did not depict a pre-existing storyline. The game is a side-scrolling platformer with beat 'em up features.

Journey to Silius, known in Japan as RAF World, is a side-scrolling run and gun video game developed by Tokai Engineering and published by Sunsoft for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990. Journey to Silius was originally based on the 1984 film The Terminator, but the licensing rights to the film were lost during development. As a result, the graphics and storyline were altered to accommodate this change, but remnants of the earlier version still remain in the game. For example, the final boss has a striking resemblance to the titular terminator in the film.

The game is essentially a series of 36 jigsaw puzzles with Tetris-like pieces known as pentominos that must be assembled into a specific shape. The puzzles start off with rectangular shapes and simple solutions, but the puzzles quickly grow more complex, with odder shapes like a rocket ship, a gun, and even enlarged versions of some of the pentominoes themselves. Each level is timed, and once the timer is started it cannot be stopped until the level is finished. One starts off the game with only three pentomino pieces, and at the completion of each early level, a new piece is awarded to the player. At the final level, the player is given the 2x2 square O tetromino and must complete an 8x8 square puzzle. After completing each level, the player was given a password to access that level at a later time. Interestingly, each password was a common English four-letter word, so that by guessing common four-letter words, players could potentially access levels they had not actually reached by playing the game.

Tough Turf is a 1989 2D beat 'em up arcade game. According to Kurt Katala of Hardcore Gaming 101: "Considering there was very little variation amongst the Final Fight and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles clones that popped up in the early 90s, Tough Turf is interesting to play a game that requires a different approach, and it really is a fresh alternative to Double Dragon."

Set in a sort of old Japan with fantasy overtones, Benkei Gaiden is a standard overhead RPG. Battle scenes are random and turn based (with quite a nice bit of music), and the game relies very heavily on Japanese text based menu systems.

Batman: The Video Game, is a group of platform games developed by Sunsoft for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy, loosely based on the 1989 film of the same name. Despite having the same title, each is actually a different game. The NES title is arguably the best known and contains five levels culminating in a final showdown with the Joker in the bell tower of Gotham Cathedral. It was received well despite changes from the movie upon which it was based. Sunsoft later released Batman: Return of the Joker as a follow-up which is not related to any movie.

An adventure game for the NES published by Sunsoft. It is based on a Japanese manga set during a historical Chinese civil war. Sekiryuou (often translated as "Red Dragon King") is a traditional Famicom adventure game from Sunsoft, in which the player controls a protagonist via a series of menus in order to solve a series of puzzles. Though Sunsoft is credited as publisher, it is unclear if the game was made in-house or contracted to another developer. The game, and the manga it is based on, depict a period of ancient Chinese history between the Qin and Han dynasties, a few decades before the Three Kingdoms era began. As expected of a transitional period, there was plenty of intrigue and conflict leading up to the change of power that future novels and mangas could draw from.

A Famicom Disk System adventure game developed by Sunsoft in 1988. Nankin no Adventure is a Famicom Disk System adventure game from SunSoft that plays much like every other Famicom adventure game of the era. The player selects commands from a menu in order to talk to NPCs and solve puzzles which will eventually allow them to progress. As with many of these Famicom text adventures there is a linear critical path that the player must follow in order to move to new areas and reach the next point of the story. Nankin refers to a semi-obscure manga artist of the same name who was behind much of the art design of the game. Though the game doesn't include any of his pre-existing licenses, his distinctive art style is present throughout. This approach might be equated to Akira Toriyama's artistic involvement with the Dragon Quest and Chrono games.

A NES action game developed by SunSoft and the sequel to Mito Koumon. It was never released outside of Japan. Mito Koumon II: Sekai Manyuuki is the sequel to Mito Koumon and is very similar in appearance and gameplay. As in that game, the player controls one of Mitsukini Tokugawa's retainers as they gather clues and evidence of crimes in the area while either avoiding or fighting off hostile NPCs. Unlike the first game, which was set entirely within Japan, Tokugawa is crossing the world solving issues instead. The first stage is America (specifically the Wild West, as would be chronologically accurate for the 17th century) though there are plenty of other locations to visit across the world as well, including even Transylvania.

An adventure game for the NES published by Sunsoft. A boy named Kyle must rescue the princess of a kingdom where very small humans and animals peacefully co-exist. Ripple Island (occasionally seen translated as "Lipple Island") is a graphic adventure game where the player interacts with the world using a series of commands, such as "pick up", "walk" or "use". Rather than the usual murder mystery games which were the trend at the time, Ripple Island instead adopts a fantasy storybook setting where smaller humans and friendly animals, such as raccoons and rabbits, co-exist peacefully. The kingdom is threatened by the arrival of Gerogeru, a self-styled Emperor of Darkness and giant frog, after he kidnaps the princess. Kyle, a young boy and the game's protagonist, is attempting to rescue her. The game was never released outside of Japan. It was, however, re-released as part of a Japan-only PS2 compilation based on Sunsoft's works. It also received a manga adaptation.

A spin-off of Sunsoft's Nazoler Land mini-game collections for the Famicom Disk System, this special version is a trivia game. Like the other Nazoler Land games, it was never released outside of Japan. Nazoler Land Special: Quiz-ou wo Ikuse (or "Search for the Quiz Masters") is a trivia game in which the player must answer trivia questions from eight different opponents across Japan in order to win the game. Because the game was never released outside of Japan, it needs a considerable amount of Japanese knowledge to play, both to understand the questions and to be able to answer them. It is not part of the core Nazoler Land series of games, which are all mini-game compilations.

Shanghai Pocket is a Puzzle game, developed and published by SunSoft. It was first released for the Game Boy, then ported to the WonderSwan. The Game Boy version has Super Game Boy support.

This is an adventure game based on a TV show about a retired governor and his retainers going around solving problems in Edo period Japan. The game allowd players to assume the role of one of the retainers as they go around investigating the town. Occasionally this involves fights with corrupt officials, evil samurai and gangsters. There's also a female ghost that will drain the player character's life if it comes into contact with them. The game is noted for its many instances of speech samples. It also has a considerable amount of text. The game consists of seven stages. Players control Kaku-san (Kakunoshin), a jujutsu user, in the odd-numbered stages and Suke-san (Skesaburo), a katana user, in the even-numbered stages, and go around the action stages to collect evidence of evil deeds. The use of certain items allows the player to switch to a ninja or a servant for a certain period of time. The ninja can go undercover and the servant can interview the townspeople. In every stage, there is evidence that can only be obtained by ninjas or servants, and they must take turns. Each time evidence of wrongdoing is collected, the clue gauge rises, and when it reaches its maximum, the stage is cleared by presenting the evidence to their lord, Mitsukuni Tokugawa (Mitokomon), who is waiting for them at the inn. If the time limit is exceeded without collecting all the evidence, the player is forced to proceed to the next stage, but the final stage cannot be completed until all the stages have been cleared.

The second game in the Nazoler Land series of minigame compilations published by SunSoft for the Famicom Disk System. Nazoler Land Dai-2-gou is the sequel to Nazoler Land Soukan-gou and is similarly a minigame connection with a magazine theme. It contains six minigames, rather than its predecessor's eight. A notable feature of this compilation is that all the minigames are represented as Famicom disks on the select screen, and once a game is chosen an animation shows the disk being loaded in the Famicom Disk System. The minigames include: Patalick A panel-switching puzzle game that shares some similarities with Q*Bert (specifically, switching panel colors and the isometric perspective) but is far more cerebral and less active in nature. The goal is to use the shape-shifting protagonist (who transforms from an angel to a devil form) to switch all the panels on the screen to the same color, keeping in mind that every panel in a horizontal and vertical line will flip over. Geographic Nazoler Quiz Like the transportation quiz from the first Nazoler Land, this is a quiz game with a geographical theme. Rather than crossing over Japan in various types of transport, the goal is to travel the world and answer questions on different countries. Answering enough questions correctly allows the player to buy a ticket to the next location and progress forward. Straw Pistil A gambling game in which the player barters against AI opponents for money. The opponents are unpredictable, so the game is largely based on luck. Blast Tomo As with "Save Princess Momoko" from Nazoler Land Soukan Gou (or the Cheetahmen from Action 52), Blast Tomo is the "major feature" of the compilation. The goal is to help a schoolgirl, Tomo, reach the bottom of a stage with the strategic placing of a finite number of bombs to destroy blocks in the way. The player must also not any let mice touch Tomo on the way down. Nazoler Boys' Detective Club A parody of Famicom Tantei Club, the player is the leader of a detective club currently investigating a mansion supposedly hiding incriminating evidence. Should the player make too many wrong decisions while exploring, the rest of the group will stop listening to them. Nazoler BOX Not so much a game as a more overtly magazine section where an animated character (Tomo, from Blast Tomo) reads mail from players of the previous game as well as discuss promotional features of the Nazoler Land series. There's also a section where players can draw their own images, as part of a contest for Nazoler Land Dai 3 Gou.

However, after learning about this, the wizard transformed himself into the shape of the prince in order to take the princess for himself. This side-scrolling action RPG game for the Nintendo Famicom was only released in Japan. Developed by Sunsoft in 1986, it stars the female protagonist Lucia.

In the space calendar 0385, the Earth suffers from overpopulation and humans started to build space colonies. Kirk, the protagonist of Dead Zone, works for the Earth federation's space development office. He is a brilliant engineer in space physics and he is working for Sirius third planet colony. He also got engaged with his beloved girlfriend Marry, but they had to postpone their wedding. Five months later, Kirk, accompanied with his robot Carry, decides to meet Marry at last, and prepare the ceremony. But when he arrives at the space station, everything is quiet. Then a beam of light hits him. He wakes up sometimes later, inside a sort of underground graveyard, pieces of dismantled robots surrounding him. The player proceeds through the game by choosing from a selection of text menu commands. Like any traditional digital comic/text adventure games, a large view shows the surroundings. The bottom of the screen proposes simple action commands, like see, take or push; however, the game is entirely in Japanese (although it uses katakana exclusively). One of the original features of the game is to use real sampled sound in some places, which is very unusual for the time.

Although commonly referred to as Toukaidou Gojuusan-tsugi, the full name of the game is Kanshakudama Nage Kantarou no Toukaidou Gojuusan-tsugi, which can be roughly translated as "explosive throwing Kantarou and the 53 stations of the Toukaidou". To get there, he is traveling through the Toukaidou highway which is composed of 53 checkpoints along the way. However, an unscrupulous merchant is attempting to capture Kantarou and steal his explosive technique secrets.
