Black Prophecy is a space action multiplayer game with RPG elements. The prologue is linear: the player has to survive the conflict between the Tyi (technology) and the Genides (biology). He handles missions for both factions and once he reaches level 6 he has to decide which side he wants to support in the future. Then the game becomes more open without story progression. In friendly space stations the player can accept missions which mostly result in grinding: killing a certain amount of enemies, scanning a certain amount of planets or flying to checkpoints. Most of those quests are in instances, i.e. in a especially loaded sector without other players, but there are also PvP and group missions for up to four players.

Neocron 2: Beyond Dome of York is a 2004 video game which is a follow-up to 2002's Neocron. Originally slated to be an expansion pack Neocron 2 was released separately under a new publisher, 10tacle Studios AG. Neocron 2 features a large persistent world and massive multiplayer gaming. Divided into two factions, Neocron and Dome of York, and separated by the vast radiated wastelands between the cities, the players try to build a career in one of the many industrial and military organizations. There are various player classes offered, including different types of fighters, PSI powered monks and hackers. The game allows free exploring of the world, NPC missions or engaging in PvP-combat, using an Egoshooter-like interface for gameplay and fighting. Noteworthy features, amongst others, are the Hacknet (a network similar to the matrix of the pen&paper-game Shadowrun) which allows skilled hackers to travel the whole game-world through a great number of network nodes or attack enemy bases and the usability of driving and flying vehicles in the wastelands.

Neocron is a 2002 post-apocalyptic cyberpunk massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) developed by Reakktor Media GmbH (based in Hannover, Germany) and published by cdv Software Entertainment. It is considered the first cyberpunk-genre MMORPG, and is designed to integrate elements of first-person shooter games. Its 2004 sequel, Neocron 2: Beyond Dome of York, was originally slated to be an expansion pack and released separately under a new publisher, 10tacle Studios AG. Following a brief transitional period where Neocron players were encouraged to transfer their characters to Neocron 2, the Neocron servers were closed while the Neocron 2 servers continue to run.
