Gamers waited many years for another installment of the Shinobi series. Now they finally get what they have wanted. Shinobi takes place in Tokyo, where a mysterious evil force has taken over, and it is up to you to stop it. You play Hotsuma, who is the leader of a clan called the Oboro Clan. Hotsuma is the only survivor of his clan and all of his dead clansmen are now fighting against him due to this evil force.

Sakura Wars 4 was promoted as the "Grand Finale" of the Sakura Taisen franchise and while the series did continue after the fourth entry, Fall in Love, Maidens was the final game to feature the franchise's original cast. The game brought an end to the story of the series' hero, Ogami, and all of his relationships with the characters throughout the series were brought to a finale.

Sakura Wars 3 takes place following the events of Sakura Wars 2. Series protagonist Ichiro Ogami joins the newly formed Paris Assault Troupe to train their own Flower Division, an all-female unit dedicated to fighting supernatural threats against the city while maintaining their cover as a cabaret act. The Paris Assault Troupe must learn to work together to defend their city against a series of mysterious phantoms seeking vengeance against Paris for their fallen ancient civilization.

During one of their confrontations with a battle ship, they encounter a girl named Fina, who is on an important mission whose secret she cannot tell yet. Involved in the conflict with the Empire of Valua, the trio of the heroes must explore the whole world of Arcadia in order to defeat the admirals.
