FIFA Manager 14: Legacy Edition is a re-release of FIFA Manager 13 with an updated database for the season 2013/2014. New are the licenses for the first leagues of Ukraine, Croatia and Czech Republic and some other licenses, e.g. the German third and fourth league, were removed. All gameplay features which had to be unlocked in FIFA Manager 13 are available from the beginning, a few texts were expanded (text mode, interview questions, etc.) and there is no Live Season anymore.

As a manager in FM12 you have complete control over the management of a modern football club. In the game you are responsible for the line-up, the tactics and training of your team, for signing the right players and the extension of your club facilities and the stadium. The special highlights in FM12 are the FIFA license, the FIFA 3D engine, more than 41,000 licensed players, 13,000 of whom come with original player pictures, the player manager and national team manager mode, the Create-a-Club mode and the Match Prognosis Tool as well as a unique, comprehensive editor.

The player has influence on many settings, e.g. line-ups, player transfers, training, budgets, merchandising, stadium expansion or sponsors. New is the stadium infrastructure were the player sets the number of toilets, VIP rooms and similar things.

FIFA Manager 09 is a typical German soccer manager where the player is responsible for the financial and athletic success of his team. As usual the player has a lot of options to set which are located in several menu screens. The main part of the screen is surrounded by statistics screens which tell the most important facts without needing to navigate to the associated menu screen.

Keeping the same style carried from the ANSTOSS series to Total Club Manager 2003, in FIFA Manager 07 the player has the complete club at his disposal, from managing the team at all levels, dealing in the transfer market to deciding on where the team should expand facilities (now using an isometric city view not unlike SimCity 3000) and increase stadium capacity. Of course, for those less interested in these aspects, they can all be assigned to the appropriate staff member, but good results can only be obtained by hiring the best staff (the team money and prestige) can buy.
